As Martin Hsu prepares for another onslaught at the upcoming SDCC 2015, he will be having another Comic Con Artist Series over at his booth. All the artists will be using Martin’s Blacky, Dragon Boy’s companion! so get ready for all that drool. Artist Brandon Dicks has just finished his custom Blacky and in our verdict it’s absolutely fantastic and super Kawaii. Brandon incorporates his Marmalade Mermaid character into a Lil’ Lion Girl which works so well.
What a great idea using Blacky’s mouth as the face of Lil’ Lion Girl. We love the colour choice too. Brandon’s design of the Lil’ Lion Girl has all the hallmarks of Brandon’s illustration style too, which you should check out when you have time.
