Who’s ready for some cute resin figures! We are and Swedish artist Emelie Jensen AKA Tomodachi Island is about to release her long awaited “The Cactoo Bun Buns” after being chosen to participate in last weeks Clutter show “They Came from the Planet Rainbow Sparkles” which Emelie customed a Kidrobot dunny in a similar theme to Cactoo Bun Buns. As I was working on Boo, I found three little un-painted Bun Buns hidden away in my cupboard of un-finished projects and since I enjoyed creating Boo so much I thought I’d give her three friends to hang out with. So I made these Cactoo Buns – Tomodachi Island

Boo Cactoo
I came up with Boo Cactoo. She was loads of fun to create and instead of painting everything I decided to go with a fimo for the spikes and the flowers. I have a fimo that tends to stay soft, but not break, which is perfect for these kinds of projects. Normally I would be worried about the thorns and flowers breaking, but not with this as they’re more plasticy – Tomodachi Island
