Asahi Senpai Maguro! Yes, Jon Paul Kaiser has once again has given The Toy Chronicle HQ a little teary eye. JPK takes on Mame Moyashi Maguro Senpai figure for the third time and could be the best version yet. Depending on your taste obviously, if you’re into heavy tattoos which would make any Yakuza envy then this custom would appeal to you.
The more you look at Asahi the more you see, JPK flexing his colour palate with autumn colours which suit Asahi for sure. We swear JPK lines are getting tighter and tattoo work is getting more intricate. We will have to judge when we get one of his recent works in hand. So glad that JPK has left the flesh slightly unpainted compared to the Master The Giant Claw which he painted over. That was just a personal taste, we are sure the collector was more than happy with the overall custom which you can check HERE too.
Look closer, it’s more than just tattoos. Line work and the way JPK has that pointillism around the eyes and head. This version has everything, nature, samurai helmets, Koi’s and daruma doll which we like and incorporated it into the whole figure.
Same but different compared to the past two we’ve seen and documented from JPK and if these don’t knock on Mame Moyashi for a full production we don’t know what will.
JPK’s other customs Mame customs if you missed them.
If you’re like us and you want something this fabulous, you can get in contact with JPK via Email to get on to his commission list as he has 2 more space left for the upcoming months. Tell him The Toy Chronicle sent you 🙂 Don’t forget to check out JPK on Facebook, Twitter & Instagram.
