We love the clean cut and distinctive style TheKID HOODIE has and watching TEM turn TheKID HOODIE from illustration into an art collectible has made us like TheKID HOODIE even more. Artist/Founder of Ancient Urban Kids (A.U.K) Multi-cultural Mongolian artist based in Orange County, CA, USA. His work is influenced by Ancient Cultural Heritages with a mix of Urban POP Culture. The illustration of “The_KID” reflects Retro & Iconic, Daily Life Moments addressing Mental Health, Global Environmental Awareness as easter eggs, and adding Street Art assets as a frame to create his complexity.

A kid who was born and raised in 1990 in Mongolia, I was a kid who was always home alone watching Cartoons all day on Cartoon Network. Where I fell in love with all the animations and drawings, also it’s where I was introduced to and thought about my future lifestyle. How I talk and what I love and where my passion goes. As I grew fell in love with Hip Hop culture and also I was introduced to The Gorillaz and DAMN! Their art and music videos hit me hard and it’s stuck with me since…

You can see the heavy influence of their style on my character. I believe it was around 2001 or 2002 it’s from the debut album. I copied and draw every piece of their artwork in my notebook.

So I started doing art from a very young age professionally in 2009 from digital art, graphic design, paper crafts, wood, graffiti, and goes on and goes on. I’m a very curious person about everything and I love to experience it myself, learning it by doing it by hand.

“TheKID_HOODIE” is TEM’s very first original figure! All are handcrafted from head to toe and packaging. Made only 20 pieces (10 black, 10 blue) excluding the Master versions of each color. It took me over 2 years or maybe 3. TEM had 3 designs for my first release of figures as OG’s but I decided to go with HOODIES because it was designed to be a Canvas for more collaboration propose with artists (the hoodie is smooth and has a lot of space to play with) and also it relates to many people, as you know people love to get in Hoodies and get cozy.
