I just was wondering who all has been following these two on Instagram and if so what people thought of it and what it is doing for the superplastic brand.
I have been following them. I find it a fun way for the company to interact with their fanbase. It isn’t going to be for everyone, but I like it.
I don’t mind the overall concept of the two accounts although I do feel it’s a bit derivative of gorillaz. My biggest issue is the social media influencer aspect. It takes it from a fun way to expand the brand into a cringey situation for me. These feelings as amplified for me, especially after this announcement that they are releasing a limited figure on a mediocre rating brand new shopping app that doesn’e really seem to have anything to do with our scene in general. It all seems a bit out of touch to me.

I think it’s a fun way to interact with fans. It’s not always my cup of tea, but I like the creative take on the marketing of the brand.
It’s definitely an awesome idea in the part of SUPERPLASTIC, the Fun part is giving in and having fun with it. Guggimon and Janky Rule!
