Guess whose back?! This is the one we’ve been waiting for! This particular Dunny design is on the grail list of most Kidrobot Dunny collectors around the globe. We are of course talking about the Big Mouth Dunny released in 2005 as part of the Kidrobot Dunny Series 2 by Deph. Big Mouth ranks up there with the very best Dunny designs. Even now, 13 years later, we are often caught taking a glimpse of the Big Mouth Deph Dunny on Trampt yearning for a chance to own this iconic Dunny at a sensible price range. Doesn’t happen, never likely will either. Thirteen years later, Kidrobot have once again teamed up with Deph to bring us all a little bit of hope of owning this beautiful Dunny. TTC can exclusively reveal that the Case Exclusive Dunny in the upcoming DesignerCon Dunny Series will be the GLOW IN THE DARK BIG MOUTH DUNNY!!!!!!!!!! *applause*
Now we hear the thoughts that this may take away from the original Big Mouth “grailness”, but we disagree! This we feel brings greater value to the previous Deph Dunny. The need to add the 2005 Big Mouth Dunny to the new GID Big Mouth has intensified. Certainly in our minds. As this new GID version is the Case Exclusive version, these will also be super limited too. These will only be available to people/select retailers who purchase a full case of the DesignerCon Dunny Series, and even then it’s not a guarantee you’ll get one. You’ll only find out once you receive your order. Perhaps those that purchase a full case at DesignerCon will be lucky! May luck be forever in your favour!
Oh, and did we mention that it F’N GLOWS!?!? Oh, how about that! We also noticed that the 2018 version has a sculpted mouth, rather than the original pad printed mouth! Don’t put your finger in his mouth though, he may chomp it off!
Celebrating the rich history of DesignerCon, this new Dunny series features artists and designs by @craola, @deph, @jonpaulkaiser, @hyperactivemonkey, @kanokid, @flatbonnie, @chetzar, Paul Frank, Christopher Lee and @ragnarsquad. Kidrobot are slowly releasing information & images for this wonderful new series. We also have seen Shao Ru by Hyperactive Monkey, The Kraken by JPK, DCon Vincent Mascot by Mr Scott Tolleson, The Jewel Guardian by Christopher Lee and Black Magick design by Chet Zar (which you can see further down this post). This is turning into a really impressive Kidrobot Dunny Series! Don’t ya think?!!
