The Tanavit23 x The Kickz Stand ‘Jemed Kickz’ piece captures the spirit of both worlds — art toys and sneaker culture — merging character storytelling with street-style precision. The figure, styled with ASICS-inspired sneakers and the signature THEKICKZSTAND hoodie, sits with quiet confidence, wearing the crown not as a symbol of ego, but of passion earned.
“We’ve always joked about doing something together,” says Jeremy Tanavit
(JEM/Tanavit23). “So, this piece became that — our story told in resin. It’s about the
crossover between toys, sneakers, and friendship.”

Jay’s connection to ASICS runs deep. The brand has supported him over the years
through his creative work and community events, building a relationship founded on
mutual respect and shared values. On a more personal note, Jay shares that he knows Shigeyuki Mitsui, the legendary designer behind the GEL-LYTE™ III, making this collaboration feel especially meaningful — a true full-circle moment.
At the heart of the design sits a pair of ASICS GEL-LYTE™ III, a model originally launched in 1990 and designed by Mitsui himself. Known for its innovative split-tongue construction and tri-density sole, the GEL-LYTE™ III remains one of ASICS’ most iconic silhouettes, bridging eras from performance running to modern sneaker culture. It perfectly mirrors the collaboration’s spirit — heritage meeting creativity, form meeting fun. The split tongue subtly echoes the duality of this partnership: two distinct worlds sitting together as one.
From late-night DMs to a full-blown sculpt, this project embodies the “do what you
