Gary, mate, you’re gonna tell us about tape? Yup, sure am. Not just any old tape either. Washi Tape! Washi Tape? Yeah, Washi Tape! A decorative tape…. but I’m not here to just tell you about Washi Tape on TTC, I bring you news of several friends & artists getting involved in a sweet project with Strange Cat Toys to design numerous rolls of Washi Tape.
Featuring art from Robots Will Kill, Mumbot, Candie Bolton, Zero Productivity, Sket One, Dokebi, KIK Toyz, Nicky Davis, El Toro and Ngaew Ngaew. Washi Tape is thin, durable, made of natural fibers like hemp and bamboo, inexpensive, and comes in hundreds of colours and patterns. The tape is easy to stick on many surfaces — including wood, plastic, and metal — and is easy to remove without causing damage. Strange Cat Toys have their Washi Tape Artist Series One available on their online shop HERE for $6 per roll. Each roll is 10m long, and the print repeats every 350mm.
