Filipino-American artist Louis De Guzman and SEGA of America, Inc.
(“SEGA”) have collaborated to create a new collection in celebration of Sonic the Hedgehog™, which will debut in November 2024. De Guzman and SEGA will design and develop a variety of goods for game enthusiasts and art collectors alike. Pulling cues from De Guzman’s signature style and original body of work, the collaboration highlights Sonic as well as Shadow the Hedgehog in a reimagined product line that pays homage to the energy and vibrance of both characters.
The first collection release contains a range of apparel and merchandise including t-shirts, a work jacket, fleece sweatshirts, kids tops, a tin lunchbox, and a printed throw pillow. Alongside these goods, the collection will include hyper limited fine art screen prints and collectible sculptures standing at 11.5” tall.

at 3477 S Archer Avenue Chicago, IL 60608 from December 10 to 17, 2024 where fans can meet the artist.

A visit to the SEGA of America headquarters brought back many core memories from my childhood. Video games played a pivotal role during my youth and helped shape my perspective of imaginary and visual escape. With this collaboration, I was able to reimagine the feeling of excitement and nostalgia that fans experience when they navigate the various levels and challenges that Sonic games provide. Sonic’s adventures create memorable moments that become important to the franchise and further Sonic’s purpose, which affects us all.
Sonic’s free spirit, personal sense of justice, and drive to encourage his friends to be their most free and best selves embodies a resilient spirit that I continue to convey within the ongoing body of work of “Along The Way.” I have also been inspired by Shadow’s fearless nature to break barriers and accomplish his goals with powerful conidence. Being able to create a body of collaborative work with the Sonic Team that pays homage to the Blue Blur is a true honor.
