2007, ‘8年夢’ was released on SD card. After more than a decade, another album on SD card is soon to be released, except this time with the smaller SD card and comes with my own toy figure. This is essentially like another goal accomplished. 2012, there were issues at home. Looking back over the years, I was too busy to do anything. I had no choice but to finish up all the work at Coffee&Tea. Life was routine – waking up at 8:30am, leaving home before 1pm and then return home by 7pm. On days when I had to work OT, I would still strive to be home no later than midnight….. 2015, though problems at home were taken care of, I hit rock bottom. I was lethargic.
I didn’t wanna do anything, and didn’t even want to live. DoubleT was then a has-been. Thankfully, many friends stood by DoubleT, especially DJ Tommy and Erica. They kept asking me what I wanted to do and what was I up to, whether I wanted to release more albums? Or to become a YouTuber and Blogger? But deep in my heart I knew that the only thing I ever want to do is to rap. 2016, my journey started again. Just as the saying goes, every nice piece of work needs the right person in the right place at the right time. Rapping is no longer special. It’s all about adapting to suit the market needs. But those who know me well would know that I am not good at marketing myself. So, all I did was to keep writing more and more music, by now, I have at least 30 to 40 demo waiting to be released. But I am not sure. I don’t know if I am ready. After all, I have been rapping for almost 20 years by now. 2018 marks a special time for me as I am close to completing my full album ‘狐狸先生’. Hope that people have not yet forgotten about DoubleT from ‘8年夢’. This time, I am collaborating with Chino Lam to release toy figures. We have known each other almost 20 years ago when I first started to rap and when he gave me a drawing of his. As of today, I still vividly remember the astonishment his drawing left me with. I have so much respect for this designer and talk about him a lot. I even collect most of his recent design collections. Chino is no doubt a superb toy figure designer and artist, and his works are truly unique and inspirational. To be the first in Chino’s ‘Familia’ series is like a dream come true for me!
