CRAFTSMAN and 50% Toys land in Thailand! Like we said back in 2021, Siomeng Chan (@oo__adventure) the mastermind behind Dino ‘CRAFTSMAN’ has his art transformed into a different medium via the folks at 50% TOY! from illustration to paper art and now a fully-fledged vinyl art collectible.
Dino, who was born in 2016, was designed by artist Siomeng Chan.
The name of Dino originated from the word “madman”, which had the same pronunciation as “Dino” in Cantonese. Siomeng believes that good work should be processed with a madman mindset – unconstrained, crazy with power. To him, Creating is a process of “Continue to exceed the limit.” Dino is the protagonist of the <Oo Adventure> series. The story explores the intricate connection between humans, nature, technology and the supernatural by narrating an adventure and the relationship between Dino and other characters. The meaning of <Oo Adventure> is to let readers find their own values and emphasize the meaning of life.
We could see Dino takeover the minions and give them a run of the mill that’s for sure. We don’t know about you guys but we are loving the proportions and the styling that Siomeng has given Dino!

“50% TOY” is the first toy creation workshop that combines toys, art and creativity. It is also the most representative art toy creation unit. The team continues to explore various possibilities in this field by combining art, illustration, design and other elements to apply them into toys. In the past, the works have been exhibited in large exhibitions such as Taipei Toy Festival, Creative Taiwan Expo, China(Shenzhen) International IP Licensing Industry Expo. In the future, more exhibitions will be hold in Japan, Taiwan, Hong Kong and Macau to let more people know about art toy culture.
