DimDim carries the autobiographical story of artist Jaejung Beck.
He was born from a simple doodle drawn about seven years ago,
when the artist was struggling with deep creative doubt.
DimDim looks as if he’s melting.
He has only one eye and sheds constant tears.
He has no fingers—only giant jewels growing from his hands.
Whenever he tries to wipe his tears,
those sharp jewels stab his own eye and make him cry again.
He believes he is the ugliest creature in the world,
trapped in self-pity and shame.
Yet his body, though melting on the surface,
is made of powerful muscles,
and the gemstones bursting from within him
are the strongest and most beautiful in the world.
Though he has one eye, it holds two pupils—
a sign that he can see more deeply than anyone else.
DimDim believes he is the ugliest in the world.
But within his body grow the strongest muscles
and the hardest, most beautiful gems.
He cries because he feels imperfect,
yet the jewels on his hands prevent him from wiping his tears.
Though he feels broken, those very jewels
are the proof of his hidden beauty and strength.
So he sets out on a journey—
to see himself as he truly is,
and to embrace the form he was meant to become.

Dim Dim Softubi stands approximately 20cm tall and features three points of articulation. It is available in two colorways: the Original Version, which includes clear crystals, and the “Patrick Star” inspired version, which glows in the dark (GID). Each version is limited to 50 pieces.
