@Theresa: OMG! Just reading this now, let’s get in touch! I’ve been looking for this guy for such a long time, it would be amazing if I could finally add him to my collection.
I loved a lot of the Janky designs so far. So many fantastic ones! A lot of my favourite artists have made a Janky already, so I’m up for seeing work from artists I don’t know yet. And maybe a Woes, Chris Ryniak or Amanda Louise Spayd Janky :P.
I’d say it’s very hard to make a living out of designer toys, but trying part time at first is a good start I think! If you can continue to grow from there, who knows.
Haha, yes I definitely want to prevent that from happening! Testing sounds like a good idea. I may get some different options when I start painting pieces and try it out.
I’ve got a top 3 when it comes to favourite artists O:).
Chris Ryniak
Amanda Louise Spayd
Doktor A
Chris is my all time favourite, but I absolutely love Amanda’s and Doktor A’s work too.
My favourite toy is probably my custom yellow Bubblegut as it’s the first custom from Chris I was able to buy and I love yellow and Bubbleguts haha. Plus it’s been really hard to find other customs so this is a rare piece in my collection.
But that could be because I’ve got a different type of account as I blog sometimes as well. I’m sure Gary can help out (he had to help me too with the image issue haha).
Not really paint, but related to the topic: any recommendations for varnishes? I find it so scary to put a varnish on things and I’m not quite sure about which matt and clear ones are often used.
