I’m a little late to the toy game. Heard about it ~5 years ago (2014) and I was absolutely fascniated! I learned DIY production methods for sculpting, mold-making, casting, and airbrushing, and I created my first toys as family christmas gifts that year. Unfortunately I got a little distracted by other hobbies after that but I remained an observant fan of the designer toy scene.

On a whim, I volunteered at Five Points Fest earlier this year and it totally re-ignited my passion for creating designer toys! I met a ton of amazing artists and the entire event felt like this hidden world of people like me who love to create and craft and admire all the things relating to toys.  Immediately after the fest, I got right back into making designer toys and I am currently working to produce my first official release!
