First of all, congratulations to our buddies Ouch & Oops as they land a solo show in JAPAN! from the masterminds behind the bizarre soft vinyl that you like, like the Zombie MiickeyMicckey got hurtOh! Save Peteroh! Alfo got found! Their solo show “A Tale of Escape: A Head-On Collision of Pain and Cuteness” is here!

Hong Kong-based sofubi (soft vinyl) toy duo Ouch & Oops!! hold their first solo exhibition at SOMSOC GALLERY in Shibuya, Tokyo.
Their characters are not the typical “heroes” or “mascots” we’re used to; instead, they are wounded, slightly melancholic, yet resilient little creatures fighting to survive.

The exhibition stars two distinct toy characters:

oh!Peter:

A gecko secretly living with humans, only to be discovered one day, triggering a desperate chase.

oh! Miickey: A scar-covered mouse once imprisoned by humans, later rescued by Peter, embarking on a runaway journey.
After finding mysterious herbs at home, they set off on a chaotic, psychedelic, yet tender escape. Along the way, they encounter other “outcasts,” navigating between absurdity and fantasy in search of a way to survive as small, unwanted creatures.

Ouch & Oops!!’ signature blend of pain × psychedelic aesthetics, adorable yet unsettling expressions.
Multiple one-off limited-edition sofubi pieces are making their debut.
Exclusive release of their first art zine, featuring an introduction character, toy-making process, studio reveals, and the “Toys × Girls” project.
Limited-edition merch, art prints, signed collectables, and cultural publications are available only at the exhibition.

About Ouch & Oops

Ouch & Oops is an independent Hong Kong-based creative duo formed in 2021 by Sabrina and Kafka.
Primarily working in toy design, they’ve recently expanded into mixed media, making Lowbrow Art in Hong Kong.

Merging toys, illustration, installation art, fashion, and graffiti, they push artistic boundaries with humour, psychedelia, and the bizarre. Their handcrafted characters embody raw emotions, scars, and vitality, blurring the lines between mainstream and underground.

Their work doesn’t glorify perfection—instead, it celebrates failure, escape, and misfits, whispering in a tender, bittersweet tone:
“You don’t have to be the hero. You don’t even have to be liked. But you still deserve to exist.”
