Lets stop offering discounts & gifts for votes. Votes are earned. Easy. Either be the best or get outta the DTA kitchen.
How does offering votes legitimise the Designer Toy Awards? It doesn’t. It shouldn’t. I’m disappointed that folks have to offer incentives to vote for them. Especially well established folks that have a good chance to win, based on the fact they’ve had amazing 2018’s themselves.

Folks will publicise their vote on their fan base. Bah gawd, we do this. We want everyone to know that we are in this exceptional predicament. Nowadays, Facebook & Instagram have their weird & wonderful algorithms that will sometimes ensure not everyone will see your social media message, so it needs multiple ways to get that message across to your fans.
It feels like last year there was a definite way to entice the voters, and this year it has increased. Perhaps this has been going on since Day One. We hope not and maybe we are naive to it all. We hope that it doesn’t become prevalent in future votes. That would suck. Please don’t suck.
