CLOUDISM ASTRO BOY By Tik Ka Ng x Blaxk Space x Action City

The infamous Tikka Ng has been developing his Cloudism style and has now signed with Blaxk Space x Action City to translate Tikka’s art into an art collectable with the official Astro Boy license! Right from an early age, Tikka has been a fan of Astro Boy and now his dream comes true with this resin art collectable collaboration powered by Singapore’s Action City x Blaxk Space.

For me, Astro Boy is a fragment of childhood memory. The distance between the futuristic world I once imagined and today’s AI-driven reality seems to have quietly collapsed. One week we were still talking about robots doing housework; the next, we are already discussing a future where robots may replace most jobs — while humans take on the chores.

Cloudism: Astro Boy emerges from this shift.

Growing up from a time before computers to now being surrounded by AI, this work feels like a response to — and a record of — that transition – Tikka

Bringing Astro Boy into the world of Cloudism feels deeply personal to me.

Cloudism is a visual language I’ve been developing, where clouds become metaphors for impermanence, transformation, and the way memories slowly shift over time. Within this system, familiar icons are no longer fixed figures — they become atmospheric forms that can dissolve, reform, and exist in new contexts.

When I was a child, Astro Boy represented a hopeful vision of the future. Technology, imagination, and humanity felt full of possibility. Today, living in an age shaped by cloud systems and rapid technological change, that imagined future suddenly feels much closer than it once did.

I chose to keep Astro Boy’s calm confidence — the quiet optimism I remember from the original animation. Even as the future keeps changing around us, I still believe there is space for imagination, hope, and new ways of becoming.

About

【TikKa from East】Growing up in the Hong Kong colonial era, Tik Ka absorbed European, American & Japanese cultures including comic books, movies, music and food culture, whilst, at the same time, having a traditional Chinese background. With such a culture mixed background, Tik Ka has created his Pop-Art Creation called “Tik Ka From East” – all works and series are painted in the style of ancient Chinese art with a special culture blend. One of his inspired series – “Super Hero meet Chinese Opera”-  was highly acclaimed by international media and personal including Stan Lee (Marvel Chairman & Director) and Robert Downey Jr.

【Chizi by  Tik Ka】 – Tik Ka’s early work infused the Japanese “Kawaii” style into traditional Chinese new year paintings – creating the “So Ha” (infant) series. The subject and tone illustrate a colourful, artless utopia as a way to explore humanity through the eyes of a child. Continuing to explore his boundaries, Tik Ka incorporated Chinese and Western influences and aesthetics, developing the series “ChiZi”. The dreamy, soft colours used in “ChiZi” – its subtle, muted tones contrast with the vibrant and luxuriant “So Ha” series. It is Tik Ka’s hope to share with the world “ChiZi’s” innocence, and undamaged essence of humanity.
