The Disenchanted Burning Skull by our dear friend and Catalonia Barcelona based Marcos Lorenzo AKA SomeStrangeThings has opened up the pre-order for The Disenchanted Burning Skull and the Mini Disenchanted Burning Skull. Could this be Ghostriders skull? Who knows! But what we do know is Marcos rocked out with another cool release, especially if you’re into skulls.
The Disenchanted Burning Skull and its mini version (exactly the same but scaled) are very nice and colourful sculptures that explain the meaning of the skull tattoos that many of my sculptures have tattooed in their arm and the Love Sucks slogan.
The story of The Disenchanted Burning Skull is that f#cking moment when you think you’re in love with that f#cking awesome person, with the damn f#cking perfect imperfection and you think you can be loved, too. And you try to share it and connect but you just receive cold indifference, leaving you feeling ashamed and confused.
It’s that f#cking moment when your castle in the air falls and you quickly build your wall around the hole. And that f#cking awesome person crosses the wall one time and the next like a phantom. Crosses, enters, in, out, kisses you passionately,naughty perfect imperfect smile, warm and cold.
And you try to kiss back. And that f#cking person turns your face away with indifference and contempt and says the perfect phrase, damn…, the perfect imperfection in person telling you you’re nothing, Jane Doe, kissing you, licking your cheek and leaving.
And you realize that you were true and you make it become false because it was false and you tried to make it true; that your decisions made it fail because you never make decisions, or maybe it doesn’t matter what you decide the f#cking perfect imperfection will have its way.
It’s that f#cking moment when your brain cracks with a thud and your mind explodes. And The Disenchanted Burning Skull hits the ground.
Pretty cool how you can have it displayed and comes in two sizes should appeal to collectors with different budgets and amount of display space. We can’t wait to see The Disenchanted Burning Skull in person at ToyCon UK!
The Disenchanted Burning Skull (70x150x100mm 2.75×3.95×5.9 inches) and the mini version (50x110x70mm 1.95×4.35×2.75 inches) are limited series of 30 units, homemade handcrafted resin toys, 3D printed base, painted with acrylics.
These sculptures are worldwide released and available from now at the SomeStrangeThings Store at the price of 95€ and 50€. Deliveries are planned from first days of May 2018 but it will be some copies available at the ToyConUK 2018.
