The build up to this years Thailand Toy Expo 2017 is gathering pace as the official dates have been announced. We had the privilege of attending Thailand Toy Expo last year and it was a one of a kind experience. So much so we are heading back to Bangkok Thailand for TTE 2017.
TTE being situated in a shopping centre which we knew before we arrived at TTE but the buzz around it seeing collectors and the general public interested to see what was on offer. TTE is a FREE event which opened a lot of doors. One thing that really stood out is the general public/ non-collectors taking interest in the community. Hopefully making them into new collectors. The scene needs it, thanks to TTE we are sure the community has gained many new collectors and interests in one day.
All the big boys like Coarse Toys and ThreeA / Three Zero supporting TTE last year we can expect them to be at TTE2017.
This year Thailand Toy Expo is also celebrating their 5th Anniversary so expect big big releases and special events. Will we see more crazy releases like the JPX x Coarse Kawii? Stay tuned for all the info.
Seeing the demand and the respect Asia has for these art toys has expanded from locals and also international collectors scrambling for the releases especially the resin and sofubi collectors. Wow that just took us back to memory lane and watching Taiwan store Paradise Toy booth collectors queuing up with HUGE LINES!.
