The stand out from Toy Soul 2016 was this “Macinbot” powered by Hong Kong’s new toy start-up Playsometoys. Most classics are timeless and Playsometoys have acknowledged a timeless design and created Macinbot! Definitely a great take on the classic MACINTOSH Classic Desktop ( some youngsters won’t remember the classic shape, Google it) Macinbot will be held together with magnets too, so you can pose and rest it like a mini Mac desktop. We are glad they have designed it like this as it will bring more scope to display in various ways.
Like Playsometoys said “Rebirth of a classic design”. Playsometoys “Macinbot” isn’t the first company to use a classic console/computer design as a figure but no doubt Macinbot is a standout and one that makes others say they wished they produced such a cool figure. Playsometoys have quoted “soft spot for classic product designs from the 80’s and 90’s” we are excited to see what other designs they have up their sleeves, we are suckers for nostalgic collectables.

He comes packed in a mini cardboard box, carries a “font suitcase” in his hand and is accompanied by his friendly mouse (model G5431b). He has simple articulations. His detachable arms are held on by magnets – the perfect way to turn Macinbot Classic into his pure computer form.
