Lakitu and Spinies By One Eyed Girl

Our Artist Spotlight artist Kasey Tararuj AKA One Eyed Girl shares her piece, “Lakitu and Spinies” for the Pixel Hearts show at Gallery 1988 which opened this past Friday. 100+ artists from around the world pay tribute to video game culture on Pixel Heart wood canvases. Cool concept for a show right? especially if you’re into video games inspired artwork.  You know straightway you have the Super Mario tune in your head.

“I’m very excited to be a part of it since i’m a a huge lover of video games.  I especially love the many Super Mario games which is why I did a Mario villain piece.  My piece is a 3D painting, with each of the little villain dudes sculpted with Magic Sculpt and painted with acrylics.”

The show is on display at Gallery 1988 (West) from Feb. 5th – 20th, 2016.
