Changsha / Hong Kong, April, 2018 – Changsha International Finance Square (Changsha IFS), a new integrated flagship complex developed by the Wharf Group, will launch on May 7, 2018. Together with the renowned pop artist, KAWS, and curator, AllRightsReserved Ltd., Changsha IFS specially brings KAWS’ first permanent bronze art piece, KAWS’ SEEING/WATCHING, to China for the inauguration of the Wharf Group’s largest development. This collaboration energizes the city with a unique art experience. SEEING/WATCHING marks the first joint appearance of KAWS’ two signature characters, COMPANION and BFF. With the signature of COMPANION and BFF, a series of SEEING/WATCHING collectibles will also be available on the opening day. Pre-sale of 10 exclusive premiums starts on 26, April SEEING/WATCHING series features a total of 10 premiums, including SEEING/WATCHING limited-edition plush, plush keychain, 4 canned T-shirts, 2 glass sets and 2 tote bags. The limited edition plush, in which COMPANION and BFF stand shoulder-to-shoulder, is designed to continue the booming trend. The plush adopts precise craftsmanship of material, cutting, design and size. Each comes with a unique serial number tag. Pre-sale of all premiums starts from April 26, with delivery from 7th May.
A themed Pop-up Store will open on L7, Changsha IFS, exhibiting classic COMPANION and BFF artworks, sketches of SEEING/WATCHING as well as making-of photos and videos. Visit the Pop-up Store after viewing the enormous bronze sculptures to understand the story behind them and, of course, bring home a few specially curated premiums
