Wow, what a freakin’ weekend! We have just awoken from 12 hrs of much-needed sleep to realise that it wasn’t all a dream. It happened again. The Toy Chronicle are YOUR Designer Toy Awards Best Blog Winner in 2017! THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU! It means so much to us that you guys all voted for us to take it down again.
We think it’s fair to say that many a beer was drunk this weekend. From Thursday to Sunday. You can check out our Acceptance speech below. Ha. We are idiots. Drunken idiots. Was so much fun though. Thanks to RYCA for capturing the moment for us. Many thanks to Kyle Kirwan & his fiance Sarah Booz for been the presenters of the Best Blog award.
The ceremony itself was a well-oiled machine. Following a number of years at Hudson Terrace, the Designer Toy Awards moved locations to Webster Hall in the East Village. The venue, in our opinion, was much better than at Hudson Terrace. Webster Hall has a wider, bigger area for the crowd. There was a decent size crowd too. Morgan Spurlock was the host for the evening.

Winner: Jon-Paul Kaiser (FINALLY!!!!!) I think we were more happy with JPK taking Artist of the Year than we were for winning Best Blog. JPK takes the big one! YES!
