We can finally take a closer look at CHINO LAM x NIKE x HYPEBEAST project! Back in March HERE, like we said before back in March the 2017 Designer Toy Award winner Chino Lam of 豆もやし社長 – Mame Moyashi revealed a very interesting project with the folks at HYPEBEAST and NIKE. Chino was chosen to be a part of their Nike Air Max 2018 Artist Campaign which you can check out HERE. Fans and followers of Chino Lam know his love of nature and streetwear and he took this opportunity to bring you all “EVOLUTIONAIR”. Air Max 95 and Vapormax Plus turned into beetle and butterfly form respectively and also showing the fantasy process of changing the shoes and creating a unique sneaker toy design. We are loving the fact NIKE x HYPEBEAST gave Chino the opportunity to bring our scene to the Hypebeast/Sneaker world. TODAY Chino has given you a closer look at “EVOLUTIONAIR”. Tinker Hatfield worked with a group of Nike engineers to complete an imaginary design project that would infuse the atmosphere into reality. This year, Nike and HYPEBEAST teamed up to invite Wang Junkai and 15 artists from different sectors in Asia to use their creativity to create Air Max creative ideas you never imagined, from fashion, toys, illustrations, installations to animations, with 15 second clips. Show creativity, bring Air Max creative spirit in different forms- HYPEBEAST
They had us at Neon Volt. Let’s hope HYPEBEAST use their contacts to knock on NIKE’s doors to bring EVOLUTIONAIR project to life in the form or a production run so collectors can cop this!

Right now we are predicting a future release as Chino states “Exhibition only …. at this moment”, maybe we are reading too much behind the lines? Fingers n toes crossed EVOLUTIONAIR will happen.
