10 years in the art game is a long time. Without further ado, hats off to Ryan Callanan AKA RYCA for a decade of smiley’s, British Victorian sign making techniques into his signature typography pieces and his love of Star Wars spreading his art worldwide. To mark his decade of art, RYCA will be having a solo show at Lawrence Alkin Gallery this week. Thats not all! Many secretly want a art figure made of yourself, well Ryan has done just that and you can own one.
Coming this Autumn will be 10 Years Later, Lawrence Alkin Gallery’s second major solo show with artist Ryan Callanan. The exhibition will explore convex surfaces and abstract forms using Ryan’s classic smiley face as a reference point, but venturing more into abstraction and obscurity than ever before.
